Paintings, ceramics and sculpture will be on show and for sale at the exhibition in the Church of St James the Great, Castle Acre, from 11am to 4pm on Saturday, July 5 and Sunday, July 6, with a preview evening at 7.30pm on Friday, July 4.
Local and countywide landscapes will be the subject of many of the paintings, with the proceeds of the sales going towards the upkeep of the fabric of the church. Exhibitors come from across the Eastern region and include both amateurs and professionals.
Admission to the Exhibition is £1 and refreshments will be available too. For the preview evening, payment is on the door and is £5 per person.
The Rector, Canon Stuart Nairn, said: “As the priest in charge of Castle Acre, I am delighted that the Church of St James the Great is able to act as host to the art exhibition being arranged for the first weekend in July by the Friends of Castle Acre Church. It is an important fundraising opportunity for the Friends and also gives artists, potters and sculptors the chance to share their creations with a wider audience. I am especially pleased this is happening in the church which is there for the community to come and offer its skills in the presence of God. I wish them every success.”
