Oxburgh Hall will be opening its gatehouse showrooms early again this winter for special guided tours.The guided tours, will take visitors on a trail of discovery through the fascinating rooms of the gatehouse, with rooms including the stunning King's Room, occupied by Henry VII in August 1487, the elegant Queen's Room with its beautiful 17th century Mortlake Tapestries and the intriguing Priest's Hole, used to hide Catholic recusants during years of religious persecution.

Oxburgh Hall will be opening its gatehouse showrooms early again this winter for special guided tours.

The guided tours, will take visitors on a trail of discovery through the fascinating rooms of the gatehouse, with rooms including the stunning King's Room, occupied by Henry VII in August 1487, the elegant Queen's Room with its beautiful 17th century Mortlake Tapestries and the intriguing Priest's Hole, used to hide Catholic recusants during years of religious persecution.

They can follow the spiral staircase upwards, and can venture out onto the turreted roof and enjoy the views of the surrounding countryside, before descending back down to the armoury.

The tea room will be serving locally sourced, seasonal food and the shop will have a range of items for sale.

The guided tours will be given by National Trust volunteers at noon and 1.30pm, every weekend until Sunday, March 9. There will be limited timed tickets for gatehouse tours and some tours maybe given by costumed guides. Adult £5.50, child £2.75, family £13.75 (admission prices includes voluntary donation to gift aid). National Trust members free.
