Wayland Farmers Market has been awarded its 2008 certificate after a Soil Association inspection last month.

The market, now in its eighth year of trading, is one of only three Norfolk markets to be certificated. The producers, many of whom have been with the market since it began in 2000, will be on the high street again on Saturday with a range of Norfolk-grown produce from meat and vegetables to eggs, plants cakes and fruit to honey and hand-made chocolates.

To celebrate the return of the market and the end of National Farmhouse breakfast week, bacon rolls (local bacon, local bread) will be served from 10am from the Wayland Partnership Stall.
