An exhibition packed with colour and variety has opened to the public, aiming to raise important cash for terminally ill children and women with breast cancer

“Quilts” at Watton's Dragonfly Exhibition Centre features the work of local group - Hackers, Tackers and Stuffer - who not only meet regularly to develop their quilting and stitching skills but to use those skills for charity.

They have now brought their work together for the new exhibition which opened on Saturday to raise awareness and funds for their charitable work.

Jan Godfrey speaking for the exhibition said: “Full size quilts and wall hangings, cushions and bags, boxes and table decorations vie with each other in colour, design and style. Traditional sits well with modern and heritage designs and the overall effect certainly has the 'wow' factor.”

The exhibition also launches a new quilting competition, sponsored by the Wayland Partnership to design and make a wall-hanging celebrating 'Our Beautiful Norfolk.' The exhibition is open weekdays from 10am - 4pm and on Thursdays from 10am to 7.00pm and closes on the 19th July at 1pm.
