Daisy the cow and the dame are the stars of the show as Swaffham Players tell tall tales of daring do in fairyland this week.

The Players are promising fun for all the family as they host their annual pantomime.

With big jokes, giant laughs and, of course, a huge towering plant, their rendition of Jack and the Beanstalk is set to be a massive hit.

Brian Hubbard, who has written and produced the panto, said he started writing the script for the production a year ago and preparations for the staging had begun in earnest back in September.

With 26 actors on stage and dozens more volunteers behind the scenes he said he expected it to be a glittering show.

Performances take place at Hamond's High School 7.30pm on January, 1, 2, and 3. There will also be a Saturday matinee at 3pm on January 3.
