OK, so you're probably sick of hearing about the credit crunch and reading about spiralling prices, a shortage of credit and increasing redundancies. But don't despair - help could be at hand!

The Wayland Partnership is planning a new fun course called Crack the Crunch! to help people get their finances in order and help their household run more cost- effectively.

This free course will run for 10 weeks, starting on February 24 at Wayland House, and will cover a

wide range of money-saving tips and ideas as well as giving participants a chance to brush

up on their financial skills and to

learn how to use Microsoft

Excel to produce a household budget.

The weekly sessions will

run for two hours from 9.30am-11.30am (with a break for the school Easter holidays.)

The course is open to anyone and no prior knowledge of computers or Excel is required.
