TOPHONOUR: Darren Webster received the Student of the Year Award for 2009 from Terry Wittkop 4th dan (Chief Instructor to Traditional Shotokan Karate Ryu) at the annual awards party.
The award was in recognition of the efforts that he has put into his own personal development and consistant efforts to improve his karate and those of club members at Swaffham and helping all members of TSKR.
Wittkop said: 'Darren is a valued member of TSKR and I am very proud and honored to have him as one of my students and Instructors within TSKR.
'I am sure he will indeed achieve much more in 2010 due to his spirit and determination.'
Claire Wittkopp completed her black belt grading in Dereham.
