WATTON thirds played Old Buckenham in an enjoyable hockey friendly.

Watton took control from the start with Kimberley Ashby's great shot deflected in by a defender.

Laura Sellive volleyed in Watton's second and Sally Eastwood, having the game of her life, cracked in third goal.

Watton were four up by half-time when Ashby coolly nutmegged the keeper.

Watton's young team kept driving forward in the second half with Megan Blake, Roxy Samules and captain Amy Childerhouse dominating the midfield.

Watton's fifth was brilliant work between Nicole Morley and Charlotte Sandcraft an accurate sweep from Nicole Morley to the left post for Charlotte Sandcraft to smash home.

Young Shirley Turtle fought well and dribbled the ball over the line. Watton will be well pleased with this performance with everyone working together as a team. Old Buckenham got a goal late in the game.

Watton's players of match were Sally Eastwood and Alice Macloughlin who shone all game.
