Archant

Watton Storm celebrated a 25-18 win over Tasburgh in the Norwich outdoor friendly league.

Tasburgh proved a tough opponent, and things were looking evenly matched in the first quarter at 6-5 to Storm. The strong pairing of Maysie Stedman and Lauren Burton in Storm’s defensive D piled on the pressure. They created turnovers which were converted into points at the other end of the court by the dynamic shooting duo of Kat Livett and Megan Lee, seeing Storm increase the goal difference as the quarters went on.

Play was controlled down the centre court throughout the match by the tireless and speedy efforts of Taylor Thompsett, Lilyella Hart and Abbie Currington who hunted out interceptions and chased down loose balls and mistakes to bring possession back into Storm’s hands. Player of the match was awarded to Lauren Burton for her outstanding contribution in defence.
