Watton Short Mat Bowls Club A team had two home matches in Division Two of Norfolk County Summer League over the holiday weekend. On Friday they entertained Horsford A, where the triple of David and Diane Quadling and Maggie Dibble had a tough first game, going down 12-16.

On Friday they entertained Horsford A, where the triple of David and Diane Quadling and Maggie Dibble had a tough first game, going down 12-16.
Their second game was considerably easier with a 14-5 win. The triple of June Todd, Bryan and Gwyn Dibble had a comfortable first game win of 21-10.
Their second game with Ivy Dennis taking the place of June Todd was much tighter, but a two-shot score on the last end gave them a 10-8 victory. The overall match result was a 6-2 win.

Sunday's match against Thurton produced the same 6-2 scoreline, with David and Diane Quadling and Maggie Dibble having comfortable wins of 17-6 and 16-6.
The triple of June Todd, Bryan and Gwyn Dibble had a very easy 20-3 win in their first game, but Thurton's skip Trevor Howard was determined that Watton would not achieve an 8-0 result and his triple beat Ivy Dennis, Bryan and Gwyn Dibble 11-14 in the last game.
