Two new signings were in the Swaffham starting line-up against Ipswich- Nigel Julien and the returning Ricky Muggleton, who had a brief spell with the Pedlars at the end of last season.

The penalty was pushed around the post by keeper David Potter.

The second half saw some refreshing play by the home side, hitting the post twice.

The margin was doubled in the 55th minute by the other new player Muggleton.

From there on in there was no way the Swaffham team were going to let go of the three points.

The match finished all square after 90 minutes at 1-1 and the deadlock still couldn't be broken following extra time.
