Over the last two weeks, Swaffham Rugby Club has played hosts to 180 young players from across Norfolk and beyond, who have taken part in the seventh annual Leicester Tigers summer rugby courses.
During the two weeks, Tigers' coaches have put the young players through their paces in all aspects of the game, focusing on the different skill aspects needed.
This year, the youth age group week was also open to girls and it was the first time Tigers have run this aspect of the course in conjunction with the boys' course.
This is as a result of the growing development of girls' rugby in the region.
As ever, there has been some outstanding rugby over the two weeks, with all the players improving their skills and developing new ones, together with making some friendships which will hopefully last through their rugby careers and beyond.
Spokesman Ian Milligan said: “The club is hugely grateful to the Tigers' coaches for running the two weeks and also taking time out to run a session with the senior club teams, and would also like to thank our chef, Corporal Carroll, for preparing all the food during the two weeks (and the Army for allowing him to come for the two weeks again this year), together with all the businesses who donated, provided, or supplied the food and all the helpers at the club who ensured its success.”
