WATTON U8 claimed their second trophy of the season by winning the Martin Bridges Memorial six-a-side tournament at Watton Sports Centre.
Despite heavy rain, Watton won four and drew one of their five matches, and went the whole tournament without conceding a goal. Watton started by beating Dersingham 3-0, and this was followed with a 1-0 victory against Matishall.
A 0-0 draw with Toftwood was then followed by a 3-0 win against Weeting and a 1-0 win against Rocklands to win the tournament by two points from Toftwood in second place.
The whole team played superbly throughout, with the goals coming from Joshua Walker (3), James Beaumont (3), Ben Walker and Oliver Kerrison. Defensively, Kade Bond, Sam Bray and Liam Owen were also outstanding.
Watton U8s also held their end-of-season presentation night, and the individual winners were Kade Bond (manager's player of the year), Joshua Walker (most man of the match awards) and Oliver Kerrison (most improved).
Joshua Walker also received the South Norfolk Youth Football League U8 Player of the Year award.
