Trophies delight for Marham

MEMBERS of Marham Judo Club had their usual early Sunday morning as they set off to Castle Vale in Birmingham for a judo competition at 6am.

This was a highly-supported event and a great opportunity for Marham Judo Club members to demonstrate their skills.

This was a highly-supported event and a great opportunity for Marham Judo Club members to demonstrate their skills.

First up to compete was Zachary McCullum demonstrating his explosive throws and expert techniques which saw him winning a gold trophy.

Matthew Parrott fought extremely well showing that he is developing into a skilled player and the club anticipates seeing exciting things from him in the future.

Players of the day were Andrew Carruthers for his pure determination shown on his first competition after only starting judo a few months ago and Emma Paterson for demonstrating her good attacking skills and smiling the whole day.

Gold trophies went to: Zachary McCallum and Jenna-Jaye Nicholson. Silver trophies to: Emma Paterson, Neith Charlesworth and Nathan Albury. Bronze trophies to: Chris Parrott, Cailean McCallum, Adora Storton and Andrew Carruthers.
