Swaffham Town continued their impressive run of form with a third consecutive six goal win to make it 11 victories on the bounce.

Nick Castellan opened the scoring against visitors Wisbech St Mary after just five minutes, firing into the bottom right hand corner from 14 yards.

Danny Tindall then punished the Saints for not clearing a corner on 26 minutes by shooting through a crowd of players.

The Pedlars' third came 15 minutes into the second half, captain Alex Vincent running on to James Thompson's cross and volleying home from 10 yards.

The Saints pulled one back with a bizarre goal direct from a corner, with keeper Sam Pishorn being boxed in and unsighted.

But it mattered little as Vincent bagged his brace in the 84th minute, picking off a stray ball from a rebound and firing home.

Substitute Matthew Blackford scored the goal of the afternoon with two minutes to go, running through and shooting into the top left hand corner.

Wisbech keeper Simpson had kept his side in the game with some impressive saves but blotted his copy book in the final minute as he was sent off for using foul and abusive language to the referee.

Blackford finished the Swaffham master-class in added time, picking up a loose ball and running through to beat the substitute goalkeeper.

Now half-way through their Thurlow Nunn League Division One season, the Pedlars remain second in the table but are slowly reducing the gap between themselves and the still unbeaten Woodbridge Town. If things go to the wire, the two clubs are scheduled to play each other at Notcutts Park on the last Saturday of the season.

On Saturday the Pedlars will be bidding to extend their superb run when they travel to mid-table Halstead Town.

The Reserves returned with a point from Norwich CEYMS Reserves and were unlucky not to hold on to their lead provided by Kurtis Calaby, the home side equalising in the 87th minute. On Saturday they welcome Beccles Caxton to Shoemakers Lane.

There was a great double over Necton last Sunday for the Veteran Pedlars. Goals from Andy Wilkins, Keith Rix, Bryan Banham and Jon Dorling secured their 4-2 victory. Next Sunday they are away to Costessey Sports.
