Skipper Simon Mower will be hoping for a strong attitude and performance this week at Old Buckenham.

Saham entertained Sprowston last weekend, looking to add to the previous week's winning start.

Two changes to the previous week's team saw Tom Smart come in for the unavailable Adi Woods and a debut for 17-year-old Harry Brown.

Saham won the toss and elected to bat. Dale Sims was promoted up the order to open with skipper Simon Mower.

Saham found it difficult to score runs early on as Sprowston's opening bowlers settled quickly into there stride.

A change of bowlers saw Sprowston take control as Saham collapsed from 40 without loss to 101 all out within 21 overs.

Sims (13) was first to fall, followed quickly by Mower (25).

Ian Lovick (31no) kept the scoreboard ticking while other batsmen came and went the other end - with only a injured Will Dyer (12) making double figures.

Hales and Roff both took four wickets and ex-Saham Stuart Lake bagged the other two.

Sprowston made light work of the chase, winning inside the 19 overs for the loss of two wickets.

Will Smart and Lovick picked up a wicket each.

Saham A visited Kirkley and came away with a impressive seven-wicket victory. Saham restricted Kirkley to 135-9.

Then Richard Palmer saw the A-team home with a score of 68 not out.

Saham Toney CC are still on the lookout for more new players - from junior U8s to U15s, as well as adults for both teams.

Anyone wishing to join should go along to training on Wednesday nights 5.30pm until 6.45pm (juniors) and 6.30pm to 8.30pm (adults).

Alternatively, contact Simon Mower on 07770804908.
