Sixty-four children from Redcastle Furze, Queensway Junior, Abbey Junior and Norwich Road schools met for the third annual indoor athletics festival for 10 and 11-year-olds.
This year's event was held at Redcastle Furze Primary School and was hosted by Miss Woollett, the SSCO (School Sports Co-ordinator) from Charles Burrell with some help from Junior leaders from Charles Burrell and the SSCO from Rosemary Musker, Miss Readie.
The event was a huge success with both staff and pupils stating what an enjoyable event it was.
The children had to participate in a number of track and field events including relay races, obstacle races and hurdling events.
The field event consisted of speed bounce - jumping from side to side over a marker with one pupil achieving 110 jumps in just 30 seconds, a record for this event in Thetford.
Other events included a seated chest pass, standing high jump, standing long jump and five strides.
