Sutton saw their 100 per cent start to the National League season come to an end as Micah Obiero scored twice in Wealdstone’s 2-0 win at Gander Green Lane.
Obiero needed just 12 minutes to convert a Kyle Smith cross and put the visitors in front but Sutton responded well with David Ogbonna firing his effort just over the bar.
Sutton goalkeeper Spike Brits saved well to deny Jack Wells-Morrison a second for Wealdstone, while Obiero also missed a good chance to extend their lead.
Obiero was back on the scoresheet in the 67th minute when he converted a penalty after a handball from Jermaine Francis, and a superb late save from Dante Baptiste to deny Temi Babalola confirmed the Stones’ impressive win.
