Watton Squash Club's first team hosted Oasis hoping to clinch top spot in Division One A and with it a slot in the overall Division One title first and second play-off matches, but they lost.

It was better news for Watton II who beat Wensum Lodge to gain a place in the Division One third and fourth place play-off ties.

For the first team Ian Thompson had a competitive match and came through 3-1. Steve Rudd was thoroughly beaten in straight games 3-0, only managing three points. Vince Somers was always in control, eventually winning 3-2. First string Jonathan Pearson started well going 7-2 up in the first game but ran out of steam to lose it and the next two. Overall a 13-6 defeat.

Watton II hosted Division One B opponents Wensum Lodge hoping to bounce back from the defeat at Barnham Broom.

Kevin Blake stormed the first 9-3 before fading to lose the second 9-7. Kev then stepped up the pace to take the next two 9-6 9-2 to win 3-1. Bobby Hunt got a 9-5 9-3 9-7 win. Dev Mahatme also came through in straight games 9-5 9-6 9-6.

Paul Goodchild completed a 9-4 9-7 9-2 victory to make it a 16-1 win and a place in the Division One third and fourth place play-off ties.
