LAST weekend was the Heart of England Judo Competition at the National Indoor Arena in Birmingham.
This is a big event with children competing from all over the UK. Competing in the venue itself is an amazing experience and one that Jenna-Jaye Nicholson from Marham Judo Club took into her stride.
Jenna-Jaye fought brilliantly, easily defeating her first three opponents.
Her fourth and final fight ended in a loss with Jenna-Jaye being held down but she triumphantly succeeded in winning a well deserved silver medal.
Jenna-Jaye is a step closer to realising her dream of being in the British Judo squad and is looking forward to competing in this year's British Judo Nationals competition in October.
