Swaffham Town's relegation worries have plunged to new depths in the Thurlow Nunn Premier Division following a 6-1 thrashing at high-flying Godmanchester Rovers.
The Pedlars crashed to their eighth successive defeat, failing to take advantage of their game in hand on Thetford, to leave them third from bottom and two points from safety with five games left to play.
Rovers moved 5-0 in front before the visitors pulled a goal back, only for Luke Brown to complete his hat-trick for the hosts. Swaffham return to action on Saturday, at home against fourth-placed Felixstowe and Walton United.
