GAYWOOD C lead the West Norfolk Billiards League after a close 2-1 home win over Gaywood B.

A great score of 355 and breaks of 80 and 60 by John Hayhoe helped guide the C team to the win, while home captain Tim Drew upped his high score to a creditable 254.

West Acre B twice champions in the last three seasons defeated Narborough A 2-1 away. Bruce Welham scored a good total of 256 and recorded a nice 40 break, while for the home side Peter Crisp increased his best score to 287.

Narborough B beat current champions West Acre A 2-1 at West Acre, with Johnny Mitchell and Robert Crisp winning for the visitors.
