Future's bright for Swaffham
Swaffham Rugby Club held their presentation evening recently. During an evening of wine, song, food and entertainment, both teams were praised for their achievements during the 2008/9 season, not least of which saw the first XV qualifying for the semi-finals of the Norfolk Junior Cup.

During an evening of wine, song, food and entertainment, both teams were praised for their achievements during the 2008/9 season, not least of which saw the first XV qualifying for the semi-finals of the Norfolk Junior Cup.
Chairman Eric Nye gave a touching tribute to the late David Routledge, a founding member of Swaffham Rugby Club, who died recently, and ended with a review of the youth team's achievements and firm reassurances that the future is definitely looking bright for Swaffham RUFC.
Team captains Paul Owens and John Chamberlain presented awards.
