Swaffham Town 1, Stowmarket 3

AN entertaining evening's football proved disappointing for the Pedlars following an injury to keeper Lee Brooks in the opening 10 minutes. Falling awkwardly in a challenge to punch the ball clear he badly bruised his hip.

He bravely continued but was beaten in the 21st minute in a one against one and then from a free kick in the 31st minute. Swaffham all rounder, Andy Hunter took the gloves and Matthew Kenny came on for Brooks outfield.

The half finished with the two goal deficit for the home side.

An encouraging start to the second half saw Stuart Seales netting in the 55th minute but the visitors regained their two goal lead five minutes later.

The introduction of Tom Rainford and Chris Sainty with 10 minutes to go, changed the dynamics but not sufficiently to tease further scoring chances.
