Swaffham 34 Wisbech 20

Swaffham returned to North Pickenham Road following last week's 10-8 win at Woodbridge and made it successive wins in Eastern Counties One.

The visitors kicked an early penalty, which woke Swaffham up and swift recycling led to every player in the back line getting a touch before the final pass saw Jordan Mustard cross the line for the first try of the game. Joe Milligan added the conversion and a second try soon came when Joe Milligan harried a Wisbech player behind their line and as he attempted to pass Paddy Callaby latched onto the ball and scored in the corner, with Milligan again converting.

Ed Jones was on the end of a well constructed move to swan dive under the posts and again Milligan added the extras.

The next try secured the bonus point and went to Jordan Mustard, this time from a great line off Spencer. The second half saw Swaffham take their foot off the gas in attack with only the one try, from Adam Potter.

Wisbech came back with a couple of tries towards the end of the game but the hosts had the last word with a penalty as the clock ticked down.
