Still in the lead in the points competition Chris Nudds covered the distance in 36 minutes 37 seconds beating Geoff Muller by seven seconds while Bobby De'ath came third in 37:34.

Sole junior riding, Adam Cross, recorded 40:28 and Peter Hamon, Verulam CCs 44:16 beat Dave Smith's Comrades CC 46:49 in the second claim members section.

Other riders times were Jon Perium 39:15, Rodney Hobbs 39:45, Rob Richardson 40:42, new recruit Dave Block 42:06, Mark Fairhead 42:03 and Marti Badham 51:27.

Enjoying the best of the weather over the Bank Holiday weekend, three members rode the 106km Audax event organised by CC Sudbury on Saturday. Mark Fairhead, together with Don Saunders and Declan Davis riding tandem, successfully covered the route in Constable Country in the allotted time.

Tonight sees the CC Breckland open 10-mile time trial for the 60 slowest entrants. The event, which has attracted a field of 75 riders is based at Morley Village Hall and is using a revised course due to roadworks on the A11.
