MARHAM Judo Club has had a busy couple of weeks with the Royal Air Force Judo Squad visiting for a week, sharing their skills and techniques with both the juniors and seniors.

The club was awarded their bronze club mark award from the British Judo Association in recognition of the club's efforts.

At the Eastern Area Judo annual medal presentation, Marham Judo Club was very proud of Ben Nicholson receiving an award for being Players' Player and club coach, Thomas Turner, receiving an award for the best Male Player. Jenna-Jaye Nicholson also received a cheque in recognition of winning a bronze medal at the National Judo Competition.

At the weekend Marham Judo Club travelled down to Epping Judo Club for a competition. The first challenge of the day was finding a parking place.

There were not many spaces for parking as this event was very well attended.

The competitors gave their all and succeeded in gaining many medals.

Gold medals were won by Morgan Davies, Matthew Parrott, Adora Storton and Jenna-Jaye Nicholson.

Silver medals were won by Danielle Wilson, Megan Davies, Rune Charlesworth, Neith Charlesworth and Morgan Lee.

Bronze medals were won by Nathan Lock, Georgia Tower, Michael Brown, Terry Andrewartha and Henry Andrewartha.

The children demonstrated many of the techniques they had been working on at the training session at Black Dog Judo Club.

This training session is a new initiative to get the Norfolk Judo Clubs together.

The next Club Get Together will be held on April 24 at Narborough Leisure Centre, run by Marham Judo Club.

If you are interested in going along then contact club coach Paul Nicholson on 07525487074.
