After a successful season, Watton Table Tennis Club is re-organising some of the teams due to job changes, retirements and, in one case, a move to Spain.
Promotion brings the problems of players having reached the plateau of their ability, not wanting to go up a division.
Watton Premier A finished second and Premier B finished fourth in the Premier Division. The B team is strengthened by a player new to the area, Roland Marton.
Anyone wishing to join either of these teams will have to play themselves in. The standard required is high for both these teams.
The league had three first division teams, and one has been disbanded and the remaining players spread amongst the other teams. Another team was promoted from the second division so there are still three.
Because of all the moves and two key retirements, there are places for two players in the first division and there were three places in the second division; one has been filled, so there are a couple of berths left.
The standard needed for Division One is for the players of average ability. Division Two is far easier and is full of youngsters and older players returning to the game.
In August the club officially closes, however, members band together and run the club unofficially; they collect the money and pay the centre per visit.
The more who turn up the longer you can play. Any extra money is put on one side and kept for quieter days and any unused money at the end of the month goes back to club funds.

Sessions are Wednesday 6.30 to 9pm and juniors at 6.30pm; Thursday 2 to 4pm - this session is open to anyone who has time in the day to play.
The club provides a free red polo shirt to all team members while pale blue shirts are also available for practice sessions at £3.
Team players may buy a second red shirt at the same price.
This club also provides the highest quality match balls for teams without charge. They also pay all juniors' affiliation fees.
