Dereham Fire Station has been given an impressive makeover by a team of 14 young people.
The youngsters, from areas including Dereham, Swaffham, Necton, Swanton Morley did the work as part of a 12-week Prince’s Trust course.
Run by Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service, it helps equip young people who are not in education or employment with life skills.
They put in raised plant beds, created a Union Jack with logos for the Prince’s Trust and Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service and created a mural. They raised £1,096 for the project by packing bags at supermarkets. Dereham mayor Hilary Bushell admired their work on Friday.
Chantelle Williams, Prince’s Trust team leader, said: “They have done an amazing job and should be proud.”
