An elderly woman has thanked the Good Samaritans who came to her aid after she suffered a nasty fall and cut her face.
Annette McIntosh was shopping in Swaffham town centre with her husband Ian, when she lost her footing on an uneven road crossing.
It happened just before midday in front of the Swaffham Café in Market Place on Thursday, October 3.
She said: "I would like to thank Katrina Newnham, her daughter Saphire and friends who gave me such good support and help, when I had a nasty fall on the crossing, near the café, with its loose and uneven sets.
"One side of the crossing is all right but in the corner there are raised sets and a hole. I caught the toe of my trainer in there and could not get it out.

"I fell down and suffered cuts to my face and bad bruising.
"I hold the people of Swaffham, who came to my aid, in the highest regard. They stayed with me, borrowed a blanket from one of the charity shops, as I was shaking with cold and shock. They brought a chair for me to sit on and supported me until the medical help which they arranged, arrived. I don't know how long I was there, but we were lucky as it was not raining."
A paramedic drove Mrs McIntosh, who did not wish to give her age, to the ambulance station on the edge of town for more treatment, and she went to see her GP on the following day.
Mrs McIntosh, from Eastgate Street, North Elmham, added: "My doctor tells me that my injuries will take at least a month to heal. I hope it's not more than a month as we are going to Spain. She also advised me to keep moving, which I think was right."
She said she may be elderly, but she has walked about 93 miles already this year.
Miss Newnham said: "I'm glad it was nothing too serious and I hope she makes a full recovery."
