Public toilets in Watton will be closed while the council is seeking cleaning contractors and tenders for the complete refurbishment of the facilities.
The local authority took over the transfer of ownership for the facilities at the back of the Somerfield Supermarket from Breckland Council on Thursday, May 8.
Town Clerk Jacqui Seal said: “The council is now seeking tenders for the total refurbishment of the toilets to bring them up to a very high standard for which the town deserves. The Council will keep the public informed of the progress and thanks them in advance for their patience during this time.”
The council has made arrangement with the Crown Hotel to allow the public to use their toilets during this period.
