THE children at Watton Westfield Infant and Nursery School enjoyed a birthday picnic on the school field to celebrate the school's 30th birthday.
The weather was perfect and afterwards the children enjoyed a fun lunchtime playing in the school's extensive grounds on all their apparatus.
The children also took part in a special birthday assembly which included an enormous cake decorated with 30 candles. This had been made by some of the parents, and the children had fun blowing out all the candles.
The Friends of the school gave each child a commemorative blue leather bookmark with the school's sunshine logo on it. Headteacher Miss Davis said: 'It has been a wonderful day for the children to remember for many years to come.'
