POLICE in Watton are encouraging parents to accompany their children out on trick or treat night as special Halloween Helpers.
POLICE in Watton are encouraging parents to accompany their children out on trick or treat night as special Halloween Helpers.
The initiative, which is being run by Watton Safer Neighbourhood Team and Pride in Breckland, will see parents offered high visibility vest so they can be a visible and reassuring adult presence as youngsters go out in costume.
Sgt Lance Ogbourne from Watton SNT said: 'The hi-vis jackets will improve the road safety aspect of the evening and also provide homeowners, especially the elderly, with the reassurance that there is a responsible adult with the children.'
To obtain a hi-vis vest for the evening or for more information contact Sgt Ogbourne at Watton Police Station on 0845 4564567.
