The magic of books was celebrated as the theme of this year's Watton carnival.

Held on Sunday, thousands of people took to the town's high street to enjoy the numerous activities, attractions and stalls on show.

Keeping with tradition, the event started with an open-air morning service led by Watton Pentecostal Church.

In addition to the procession, led by the Phoenix Pipes And Drums, there was entertainment from local artists, including Blondie Moment, and dance demonstrations.

Carnival chairman Steve Jolly said: 'The carnival grows every year and we get more and more different attractions coming to it. We were blessed with some really good weather and we had a few thousand people over the course of the day.

'It was a great success and we are looking forward to it again next year.'
