TURKEY and all the trimmings, with a dollop of festive cheer was served up by the Swafffham and District Lions during their senior citizens Christmas luncheon at Hamond's High School on Sunday .
The team of lions and lionesses led by trained chef Paul Southerton cooked and served to 110 people before entertainment continued the merriment into the evening.
A 60s tribute act, The Strollers, provided a collection of nostalgic hits during the meal, followed by a spicy routine from the Latin Dance Group of Sacred Heart School and a performance by the Lions and Lionesses Carol Choir.
Dennis Tallon, from the Lions, said: 'Although it was great to put on the entertainment, it was the camaraderie of people coming together that made the day really special.'
