Motorists are facing long delays around Swaffham after a two-vehicle crash on the A47 and then a tractor and trailer went into a ditch on a diversion route.

Motorists are facing long delays around Swaffham after a two-vehicle crash on the A47 and then a tractor and trailer went into a ditch on a diversion route.

The two cars collided at Sporle at about 10.55 and fire crews worked to free two casualties.

The air ambulance was called to the scene.

The road was shut at the North Pickenham turn and recovery vehicles had to be called to clear the carriageway.

Diversions were set up.

Shortly afterwards a tractor and 20ft trailer went into a ditch on the Swaffham Road at North Pickenham, which caused further long delays.
