A town has secured £1,000 towards its Christmas lights display after reaching the final of a national competition.
Having entered the contest run by Blachere Illumination Company, Swaffham Town Council (STC) was tasked with making a video about the town using only a mobile phone.
A team led by Independent councillor and deputy mayor, Keith Sandle, decided to focus on the market and heritage of Swaffham as they created a ten-minute film.
Filming and scripting was overseen by Wayne Griffiths, with support provided by Independent councillor Les Scott and Swaffham events coordinator Sue Dent.
The competition inspired entries from across the nation, all vying for a top prize of £10,000 towards their Christmas lights displays.
STC earned a place among 10 finalists and was invited to a special ceremony in Birmingham, where Prescot Business Club was eventually crowned as the winner.
Despite losing out, the council received £1,000 towards Swaffham's Christmas lighting which will illuminate the town during the festive season.
