SWAFFHAM should be looking blooming lovely this spring and summer as its makes its first entry into aN initiative aimed at brightening up the town.
Town councillors have agreed to take part in the Anglia in Bloom initiative and will be making preparations with a view to putting out planters around the town and on the approach roads.
It is hoped that the scheme will help brighten up the town and provide splashes of colour from plants and flowers during this spring and summer.
A working group, headed by town councillor Charlie Gunner, who has achieved award-winning results on his own residential area and on a recreation area, will look into what areas will be planted and where boxes of blooms will be located.
