SWAFFHAM'S recreation ground will benefit from a splash of spring colour after the success of their community planting project.
Over 50 volunteers descended on the green off Haspalls Road on Saturday, September 19th , to help rejuvenate the area by planting thousands of bulbs in freshly dug flower beds.
The event was organised by the Friends of Swaffham Rec who supported the day with a barbecue, tombola, and a range of charity stalls.
Michelle Meyrick, Deputy Town Clerk, said: 'There was such a great atmosphere.'

'The children were immersed and the parents were registering which flowers they had planted so they could come back and see them when they bloom.
'It was good to see people taking pride in their community and working together to make the recreation ground a better place to be.'
