Swaffham's football club raises money for Help for Heroes

SWAFFHAM Town Football Club has presented a cheque to Captain Heidi Sparks of the Light Dragoons Regiment, based at Swanton Morley, from proceeds of the Tom Meranghi Memorial Trophy.
SWAFFHAM Town Football Club has presented a cheque to Captain Heidi Sparks of the Light Dragoons Regiment, based at Swanton Morley, from proceeds of the Tom Meranghi Memorial Trophy.
The money, �300 in total, will be donated to the Help for Heroes charity.
The regiment has just returned from Afghanistan following involvement in Operation Herrick 10, where a number of their colleagues sustained injuries.
Andrew Hunter, club coach/player, and Tom's step-brother, presented the cheque.
