PUPILS from Swaffham Hamond's High School welcomed their MP, Elizabeth Truss, to the school for a visit last week.
Ms Truss took the opportunity to discuss a range of issues with a group of the school's senior students. The students prepared some articulate and challenging questions for the MP on issues such as childcare benefits to the impact of Health and Safety legislation on schools.
Ms Truss was full of praise for the students' questioning skills, the way that they conducted themselves and the way they spoke so highly of the improvements that they have seen in their school over the last year.
The MP also had a tour of the school's new state of the art buildings improvements and resources and was keen to probe what the impact had been on the students' learning.
The students were impressed with the way their MP wanted to get to know her local schools and engage in conversation with them.
