Public toilets in Swaffham, shut since early this year, will be officially reopened tomorrow after a £115,000 refurbishment.The event will be a double celebration for the town council,which oversaw the refurbishment of the toilets, and will become responsible for the conveniences at the rear of the town's tourist information centre near the bus station after the block is officially handed over by Breckland Council.

The event will be a double celebration for the town council,

which oversaw the refurbishment of the toilets, and will become responsible for the conveniences at the rear of the town's tourist information centre near the bus station after the block is officially handed over by Breckland Council.

The town council was given a commuted sum of £115,000 to pay for the refurbishment and another £130,000 for maintenance of the toilets over 10 years by Breckland.

Town mayor Shirley Matthews will officially reopen the toilets at about 9am.
