A murder enquiry was launched this morning after a body was found in Swaffham last night.
Norfolk police were called to Princes Street, a quiet residential street, following an incident at 9.20pm and found a dead man and a woman with life-threatening stab injuries.
A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is in custody at a Norfolk police station.
A spokesman this morning said police were not looking for anyone else in relation to the incident.
Norfolk's Major Investigation Team (MIT) continued investigations this morning, including tracing and informing next of kin.
Police cars remain at the scene in Princes Street, a road at the edge of the centre of the market town.
