Swaffham Lions visited by Pudsey Bear to raise nearly £500 for Children in Need

The Swaffham and District Lions have supported BBC Children in Need by bringing a very special guest to a Swaffham supermarket.
The Swaffham and District Lions have supported BBC Children in Need by bringing a very special guest to a Swaffham supermarket.
The Lions visited Swaffham's Tesco store and the Swaffham Assembly Rooms with their visitor, Pudsey Bear, who helped the volunteers collect donations from shoppers.
Overall, the Swaffham Lions' effort contributed £492 to the BBC fundraiser, held on Friday November 17.
The total raised amounted to over £50,000,000, which was raised by individuals and communities all over the UK.

The money will be spent helping and supporting children in the UK and around the world.
The Lions volunteers said as always Pudsey was a big hit with the children.

Dennis Tallon, from the Lions said: 'Although some very young visitors were a little frightened, the older generation enjoyed a cuddle with the famous bear.'
He added that the Lions were happy to have raised the money for a wonderful cause.
