The Swaffham and District Lions Club has honoured its longest-serving members at a club meeting.

Keith Mitchell, who joined the Lions in Oxfordshire, and Peter Young, secretary of Swaffham Lions, have both served for 25 years.

Nicholas Ashford, treasurer of the Swaffham Lions, joined 10 years ago.

All three men received certificates and pins to thank them for their hard work at the Lions Club meeting on Monday, October 9.

Lions President, Pam Tallon, thanked the volunteers for their hard work and involvement over the past years.

She added that she hoped it would continue for many years to come.

Swaffham Lions meetings are held at the Swaffham assembly house.

Lions International is the world’s largest service club organisation, with 1.35 million members in more than 206 countries.

The organisation was founded in 1917.
