A CHEESE and wine evening brought a successful end to the Swaffham Lions' series of fundraising events for Haiti.
More than 80 people attended the event, which was held at Swaffham Assembly Rooms.
The evening, hosted by Eddie Godden, included entertainment by the Phoenix Singers with songs from Les Miserables, amusing readings from Ian Sandell and rounded off by cabaret artists Class Act.
A short video showed the work the Lions are carrying out in Haiti, including three tented villages housing more than 3,000 people supplied by the Lions, and a message from the Lions Haiti President.
A variety of cheese and wine was served at the tables, and an auction was held with items supplied by Caithness Crystal, which is supporting Swaffham Lions in their fundraising efforts this year.
The evening raised more than 1,100 for the victims of the Haiti earthquake. A previous quiz night raised just under 600.
