Pupils in Swaffham have begun raising money to support of one their fellow students who is set to undergo a medical procedure.
The students from The Nicholas Hamond Academy are raising money for the family of Archie Ramshaw, 14, who has been battling an extremely rare blood disorder since the age of seven and now requires a bone marrow transplant.
They launched their campaign on March 9, with staff wearing wigs and creating a noisy welcome into school. The day also included balloons, party poppers and whistles.
The students hope the money they raise will help the family to deal with the costs they will incur during the transplant.
The Swaffham Lions have also been raising funds for Archie and donated £500 to an appeal.
If you wish to donate to help out Archie, contact the academy on 01760 721480 or office@tnha.org.uk.
