STRICTLY Come Dancing star Zoe Lucker will be helping people in Swaffham get into shape for the new year.

The actress is supporting the NSPCC's biggest ever Aerobathon on Monday, February 8. More than 150 leisure centres are taking part across the UK, including Swaffham Leisure Centre in Brandon Road. The sponsored two-hour aerobic workout will be led by qualified instructors at exactly the same time in each location, from 6-8pm.

Ms Lucker, said: “I fully support the NSPCC's Child's Voice Appeal and urge people in Swaffham to take part in the NSPCC's Aerobathon. Money raised will help the NSPCC to grow its helpline for adults concerned about a child, and its ChildLine service. This will help protect more children around the UK. It will be a great event and fantastic fun with over 150 events across the UK taking place at the same time.

“As a mum myself I understand how precious children are, so please sign up now.”

The NSPCC hopes the Aerobathon will raise over £425,000 nationally for the Child's Voice Appeal.

For further details and to register, visit www.nspcc.org.uk/aerobathon, e-mail aerobathoneast@nspcc.org.uk or call 01908 328060. You can also pick up a leaflet from participating leisure centres. Registration costs £5 which includes entry to the event and an NSPCC Aerobathon t-shirt.
