Members of a specialist search and rescue team helped to free a horse that had become stuck in a Norfolk river.
Urban Search and Rescue who are more used to dealing with people trapped in buildings were amongst emergency personal and a vet that helped to release the large thoroughbred horse trapped in the river on Meadow Lane in North Pickenham.
Fire crews from Watton and Dersingham were called to the location on a section of the River Wissey at shortly after 8.50am on Monday.
The narrowness of the river meant they were unable to use a boat and eventually the animal had to be released with the aid of a tractor.
