Trustees, volunteers, staff, students and supporters will be celebrating the Garden Science Trust's successful first year at Swaffham's Ecotech Centre tomorrow.

Between 10am and 12noon the group's achievements will be on show. There will also be science demonstrations and an opportunity to visit the gardens.

Volunteers from the gardening group and students with learning difficulties who have completed 'garden science' courses at the centre will be on hand to talk about their work.

They will also be launching a Friends of the Garden Science Trust scheme, an opportunity for people to support the group and receive newsletters, gardening tips, discounts and prizes.

The Garden Science Trust uses gardening and science to help people with learning difficulties or other barriers to education and training to develop skills and reach their potential.

Based at the Ecotech Centre in Swaffham, it offers short practical garden science courses for adults with learning difficulties and organises a garden volunteer group for people with special support needs.
